Miniature Masterworks: Phyllis Hawkes

Phyllis Hawkes reproduces the museum-quality work of Old Masters and American primitive painters. Her favorite subjects are people (especially female children and children with their pets), clipper ships, florals, and fruit. Hawkes uses traditional oil painting techniques, including glazing and layering on 1/32” gessoed birch plywood.
