Community Conversations: A Reading of UMKC Multi-Genre Graduate Students

This reading highlights the excellent writing of UMKC’s multi-genre graduate students working with Dr. Jennifer McCauley, Assistant Professor of English. The class will present readings of poetry, prose, and hybrid texts in response to the Portraits of Childhood: Black Dolls from the Collection of Deborah Neff exhibition.

Community Conversations are opportunities to discuss topics connected to Portraits of Childhood: Black Dolls from the Collection of Deborah Neff. Each one is led by a different community member. All are welcome to attend these conversations and consider different perspectives around the exhibition. The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures offers FREE admission and parking to attendees. UMKC students receive FSE credit for attending.
