Miniature Masterworks: Gail St. Clair
June 9, 2017
Gail St. Clair was introduced to miniatures on a childhood trip to see Colleen Moore’s Fairy Castle in Chicago. She was also taught to crochet by an aunt. She combined the two in the 1990s after receiving a 1:12 scale doll whose clothes she believed she could improve. She now uses a vintage, size 18 crochet hook and 100 weight silk sewing thread for her projects.
St. Clair is one of more than sixty artists participating in Miniature Masterworks, September 15-17, 2017.
