Miniature Masterworks: Nancy Simpson

Nancy Simpson experimented with many different crafts before finding her signature: Nantucket and Shaker baskets. Simpson forms her baskets on models that she turns herself using the same materials found in full-scale baskets: hardwood, cane, brass, and ivory. Now, she is beginning to experiment with original designs in the style of Nantucket and Shaker baskets.

Simpson is one of more than sixty artists participating in Miniature Masterworks, September 15-17, 2017.
