Miniature Masterworks: Ursula Dyrbye-Skovsted

Ursula Dyrbye-Skovsted is best known for her period birdcages, furniture, and metal work, as well as her turning, instarsia, and inlay. After training in cabinetmaking, she apprenticed with Barry Hipwell, learning miniature marquetry. She now works in a 104-year-old workshop where she creates inlay for full-scale furnishings and fine-scale miniatures.
Dyrbye-Skovsted is one of more than sixty artists participating in Miniature Masterworks, September 15-17, 2017.
