Museum recognized for 2020 website re-launch
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures (T/m) won an Award of Distinction tonight at the 2021 Philly Awards for its re-launched museum website. The awards were announced during a virtual ceremony hosted and live streamed by Nonprofit Connect.
The Philly Awards, now in their 20th year, honor outstanding achievements in nonprofit marketing and communications in Kansas City. T/m won Gold in the Medium Division, which recognizes organizations with $1-5 million in fiscal year revenue.
Re-launched in August 2020 in partnership with web developer Imagemakers Inc., T/m’s website unveiled a brand-new look, providing visitors with improved desktop and mobile navigation, more interactive elements, a wider representation of the museum’s collections and exhibits, a ticket-purchasing page, expanded interpretative information, and much more.
T/m has welcomed an unprecedented amount of online traffic in 2021, garnering more than 61,000 website visitors — the most in T/m website history — with two months remaining in the calendar year. In July, T/m received its most-ever online visitors for a single month.
