Love in Metal: The Joyous Art of Abraham Megerdichian | A Talk with Robert Megerdichian

Join The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures for an inspirational talk about the artwork of Abraham Megerdichian, a machinist who used the scraps from his day job to create small metal objects. The museum is borrowing 26 works from the artist’s son, Robert Megerdichian, to be on display in the Art of the Imagination case through April 8, 2024.
Mexican Folk Dolls Workshop – POSTPONED

Do you like to tell stories? The Mexican folk dolls (1940s-1960s), currently on display at the Museum, represent different regions of the country and tell stories through their clothing and accessories. Join collector Maria Vasquez Boyd, visual artist Sue Moreno, and writer Miguel M. Morales to design and make your own figure/creature and develop a unique story around this character through words and images.

Art of the Imagination Summer Day Camp

Learn about how all the ways you can use your imagination to create and tell stories through this unique camp experience. Explore the Museum’s collection through stories that bring historically significant toys and fine-scale miniatures to life. Registration includes a camp t-shirt, a daily snack, and art project supplies.
