The Museum allows only private, noncommercial still photography in its permanent collection galleries. At no time is flash photography permitted in the galleries. The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures is located off 52nd Street on the southwest corner of the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus, just a few blocks south of the Country Club Plaza shopping and entertainment district.
Parking is always free at the Museum. The entrance to the Museum’s parking lot is located off 52nd Street.

The Museum Layout
The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures offers two floors dedicated to artist-made fine-scale miniatures on the first floor and historically significant and contemporary toys on the second floor. Multiple exhibitions on display range from full-room exhibitions to individual object cases.
The Museum recommends visitors watch a short introductory video before beginning their tour. You can watch this video in the Museum lobby or on the Museum’s YouTube channel to learn about the two individuals whose collections were the foundation for the Museum.
The Museum recommends allocating at least 90 minutes for your visit, though many guests spend more than 60 minutes or more on each floor.

General Refund and Cancellation Policy
Admission ticket sales are non-refundable except in the event that the Museum must cancel the event or general admission.
The Museum reserves the right to cancel events and/or tickets for any reason. The staff will inform you by phone or email as soon as possible if the Museum cancels your event and/or tickets. You’ll receive your full refund within 30 days to the method used for your original payment.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, the grounds of the Museum are not ADA-accessible even though the Museum itself and the parking lot are. Wheelchairs are free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis for use while in the Museum. ADA-recognized service animals are also welcome in the Museum. If you choose to use the grounds during your visit, please carry out all items that you carry in.
No food or beverages are available for sale or allowed in the Museum. The Museum does not offer picnic tables or trash cans on the grounds either. Any food brought to the Museum should be consumed prior to entering the building, there are trashcans available at the entrance. No food or drink are permitted in the galleries.
Yes, a coat room is available for coats and oversized items. Please note that this room is not monitored and that the Museum is not responsible for items lost.
